A time is allocated for sport instruction and
participation on Fridays.
The school reflects and supports an active sporting
culture that is a strong feature of the Jerilderie
community. Parents and members of the community assist
the students in developing their sporting skills.
The school has 2 sport houses -
Algudgerie represented by red and Colombo represented by
green. The houses compete during the year in
swimming, athletics, cross country running and other
activities. The winning house at the end of the year is
awarded the Robertson Shield.
The year starts with our “Learn to Swim” program
which operates from the first day of school until the
swimming carnival. The athletics carnival is
usually held in Term 2.
Primary students are given
opportunities to participate in
P.S.S.A. (Public School Sports Association)
competitions and carnivals following their successful
participation in the school sports arena.
Other interschool sports include cricket, football,
netball and softball.
